Next stop San Francisco

It is 4 am and I am sitting on the lounge surrounded by suitcases, laundry and all the bits and pieces still to be packed. I have my usual pre trip anxiety and can't sleep. The house is silent except for the clock ticking but I know that in about an hour the boys will be up, super excited and a little feral as a result. I am enjoying the calm before rhe storm. We aim to head off to the airport at about 8.30.

    It's about two hours until we leave for the airport so I'll have to start packing my bag soon, but first perhaps I should search the house for THE MAPS. Anna has a few detailed maps of New York that she has added 523 eateries and points of interest by hand (she tried to add some by foot, but the writing was illegible)... and the maps are missing. Hmmmm.
